If Senior is receiving SSI income then garbage is FREE.
If total income is $1500 or less then garbage is $5.00 per month.
Incomes over $1500.00 the garbage charge is $17.75. To receive FREE or discount garbage an application must be filed annually.

Relating to Baldwin County; to authorize the county commission to exempt from mandatory solid waste disposal fees any household whose total income does not exceed 75% of the federal poverty level.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. Pursuant to the authorization contained in section 22-27-3, Code of Alabama 1975, the Baldwin County Commission is authorized by this act to grant an exemption from the county mandatory solid waste collection program fee for any household whose total income does not exceed 75% of the federal poverty level.
Section 2. This act shall become effective immediately following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
